MODEL REFERENCE ADAPTIVE CONTROL UNTUK PENGATURAN PROSES TINGGI PERMUKAAN SHPERICAL TANK
Abstract

Abstract
The chemical industry is currently Liquified Natural Gas (LNG) whose distribution process uses LNG tanker vessels and/or transport trains with spherical tank storage containers. The LNG tank flow control system is a surface level control. The controller parameter will work if the reference value is kept constant. The fact is that the reference value (surface height) is often out of the threshold due to the LNG that comes out exceeding the size. One solution for improving the control system is the parameter tuning process using the Model Reference Adaptive Control (MRAC) adaptive control system. The basis of MRAC is the Massachusetts Institute of technology (MIT) rules method as a parameter tuning mechanism. The simulation results based on Matlab-Simulink show that the system output is in accordance with the desired with a settling time of 4 seconds, a rise time of 0.95 seconds and an over-shoot of 0.2 p.u.
