Pemanfaatan Teknologi oleh Orang Lanjut Usia  di Yogyakarta

Abstract

Teknologi dapat dijumpai di berbagai bidang kehidupan di era modern ini. Kehadiran berbagai teknologi tersebut dapat meningkatkan kualitas hidup seseorang. Namun demikian, masih dapat dijumpai adanya digital gap di masyarakat yang diakibatkan terjadinya lompatan teknologi yang sangat pesat, diantaranya juga dialami oleh orang lanjut usia. Penelitian ini menggunakan metode kualitatif dan kuantitatif untuk mengetahui adopsi teknologi oleh orang lanjut usia di Yogyakarta. Penelitian dilakukan dengan melakukan susrvei terhadap seratus responden dengan berbagai latar belakang pendidikan, pekerjaan dan status social. Faktor-faktor yang teridentifikasi mempengaruhi pemanfaatan teknologi oleh orang lanjut usia di Yogyakarta, diantaranya usia, jenis teknologi dan status ekonomi. Penelitian lebih lanjut perlu dilakukan untuk mengidentifikasi faktor-faktor lain yang dapat mempengaruhi pemanfaatan teknologi oleh orang lanjut usia dan bobot dari masing-masing faktor tersebut.
