Rural areas frequently see rapid land use changes without proper planning, which leads to a number of environmental issues such soil erosion, the loss of green spaces, and an increased risk of disasters. Manggala Village, Nanga Pinoh District, West Kalimantan, faces a similar phenomenon with land conversion from forests and gardens to vacant land and settlements. This community service activity aims to introduce and apply remote sensing technology based on satellite imagery and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) to detect land use changes for the 2020–2025 period. The implementation method includes acquiring Landsat 8 and Landsat 9 satellite imagery, data processing through supervised classification, and the preparation of thematic maps of land change. The results of the activity show a decrease in forest area from 27.64 km² in 2020 to 22.93 km² in 2025, an increase in vacant land from 0.27 km² to 3.61 km², and an increase in settlement area from 0.61 km² to 0.93 km². The main product, a land-use change map, can be used in the Village Development Planning Deliberation (Musrenbangdes) forum as a basis for spatial planning. The impact of this activity is evident in the increased spatial literacy of the community and collective awareness of the importance of sustainable land management. As a result, this community service program makes a substantial contribution to technical solutions while also building village communities' social capacity to support data-driven and sustainable development.

IMPLEMENTASI METODE JARIMATIKA DALAM PERKALIAN: PELATIHAN PADA SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Multiplication skills are one of the fundamental abilities essential for elementary school children to support their cognitive development. However, many elementary students still experience difficulties in performing multiplication operations. The aim of this community service activity is to enhance the multiplication skills of students at TPA Anwarussalam Nitikan, Yogyakarta, through the Jarimatika method. This activity was conducted using training and mentoring approaches, involving practice sessions, guidance, and evaluation. The results indicate an improvement in the children’s calculation abilities, with pre-test scores averaging 75 and post-test scores rising to 93 after the training. By using Jarimatika, students not only improved their calculation speed but also developed greater interest in learning mathematics.

EFEKTIVITAS PROGRAM P3D SEBAGAI SOLUSI INOVATIF PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH

Permasalahan pengelolaan sampah masih menjadi isu krusial di tingkat masyarakat, terutama akibat rendahnya kesadaran dan partisipasi dalam menerapkan prinsip pengelolaan yang berkelanjutan. Program P3D (Pemilahan, Pengomposan, Pembakaran, dan Daur Ulang) dirancang sebagai solusi inovatif berbasis pemberdayaan pemuda untuk meningkatkan kapasitas dan perilaku masyarakat dalam mengelola sampah secara mandiri. Pendekatan yang digunakan bersifat edukatif, partisipatif, dan aplikatif melalui kegiatan pelatihan, praktik lapangan, serta pendampingan penerapan teknologi tepat guna. Evaluasi efektivitas dilakukan dengan metode pre-test dan post-test terhadap dua aspek utama, yaitu pengetahuan dan perubahan perilaku peserta. Hasil menunjukkan adanya peningkatan signifikan pada tingkat pengetahuan pemuda dari rata-rata skor 10–14 menjadi 18–20 poin setelah kegiatan, serta peningkatan partisipasi masyarakat dari kategori sedang (2,15) menjadi tinggi (4,00). Selain itu, perilaku masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sampah meningkat dari 1,61 menjadi 4,00, menunjukkan terjadinya perubahan positif menuju praktik pengelolaan yang lebih berkelanjutan. Dengan demikian, penerapan program P3D terbukti efektif sebagai solusi inovatif dalam membangun kesadaran lingkungan dan kemandirian masyarakat dalam pengelolaan sampah.

PENINGKATAN KAPASITAS GURU PAUD DALAM MENGIDENTIFIKASI MASALAH PSIKOSOSIAL DAN EMOSIONAL ANAK PRA SEKOLAH DI KECAMATAN TEMBALANG, SEMARANG

Background: The psychosocial developmental stage of preschool-aged children is Initiative vs. Guilt. Early childhood education (PAUD) teachers in the Wisnu Cluster, Tembalang Subdistrict, experience difficulties in distinguishing children with psychosocial and emotional developmental problems. As a result, these issues often go undetected and untreated. Objective: To improve teachers’ knowledge and skills in identifying and conducting early detection of psychosocial and emotional developmental problems among preschool-aged children in Tembalang Subdistrict, Semarang City. Methods: This community service activity involved 40 PAUD teachers in Tembalang Subdistrict, Semarang City. The teachers participated in a short training session on recognizing psychosocial and emotional problems in students. The training methods included discussions, lectures, demonstrations, practical exercises, and supervision. The second activity was a parenting class on managing tantrums, attended by 30 parents of the students. Results: The results of this program showed an increase in the knowledge and skills of teachers in the Wisnu Cluster, Tembalang, in accurately recognizing psychosocial and emotional problems in children as an effort for early detection. Teachers also learned how to respond appropriately and provide guidance using the asah, asih, asuh (stimulate, love, nurture) approach for children with psychosocial problems. Furthermore, parents gained the ability to manage tantrums in preschool-aged children. Conclusion: This community service activity improved teachers’ ability to perform early detection of psychosocial and emotional problems in children, allowing early identification before these issues become more complex. It also provided parents with effective strategies to manage tantrum behavior in preschoolers.

PENGEMBANGAN SISTEM INFORMASI KERJA SAMA DAERAH UNTUK PENINGKATAN LAYANAN PUBLIK DI KABUPATEN KLATEN

Information systems play a central role in improving public services by integrating information technology to enhance speed, accuracy, and transparency. The support of Internet and Communication Technology (ICT) in information systems enables good governance by promoting transparency and accountability, reducing paper use, increasing the efficiency of integrated processes, and allowing rapid public access. To support effective and efficient public service delivery in managing intergovernmental cooperation in Klaten Regency, the Institut Teknologi Nasional Yogyakarta and the Governance Division of the Regional Secretariat of Klaten Regency implemented a collaboration through the development of the Klaten Regency Regional Cooperation Information System.The development process of this information system was carried out through a series of consultations involving the system design and development team from ITNY, the Governance Division of the Klaten Regional Secretariat, and the Department of Communication and Informatics of Klaten Regency. Through these consultations, the activity resulted in: (1) operational procedures for the regional cooperation information system; (2) the naming of the regional cooperation information system; (3) the user interface design of the regional cooperation information system; and (4) a technical specification report for the regional cooperation information system.

PENGENALAN TEKNOLOGI PENGELOLAAN SAMPAH BERBASIS MASYARAKAT DI KELURAHAN WARUNGBOTO KEMANTREN UMBULHARJO KOTA YOGYAKARTA

A community service initiative introducing waste management technology has been implemented in Warungboto Village, Yogyakarta, aimed at educating residents about waste management, encompassing knowledge of waste types, management practices, disposal technologies, and waste reduction strategies through the 3R principles. The findings of the socializing indicated that the participants were highly enthusiastic about engaging in this event. During the socialization exercise, it was seen that numerous participants possessed a substantial comprehension of various existing technologies, which facilitated a more advanced discussion and finally generated innovative suggestions for waste management in Warungboto Village. Numerous technological schemes can be used, with incineration being the most advanced relative to others. An sophisticated technology employs a gasification process to transform trash into syngas (synthetic gas), which may then be utilized in gas or diesel engines. During the evaluation phase, the participants' pre-socialization assessment findings indicated a work score range of 80-100, with a maximum score of 100. The post-test findings yielded work scores between 90 and 100, indicating that the participants have become better acquainted with the waste material. The average post-test score was 98.3, indicating an improvement from the average pre-test score of 93.3.

KEGIATAN PENINGKATAN KEMAMPUAN WANITA TANI DALAM RANGKA KEMANDIRIAN PANGAN DI KECAMATAN GABUS KABUPATEN PATI JAWA TENGAH

Food is a basic human need that involves many factors in its fulfillment. Food security is one of the important pillars in national development because it is directly related to community welfare and socio-economic stability. Three important aspects in food security are food availability, food access, and food utilization. The Association of Women Farmers Groups (KWT) has a strategic role in food security, especially in its role to provide training, mentoring, and knowledge exchange to its members. The capacity building activity for women farmers carried out by the community service team of AKPRIND Indonesia University consisting of 5 (five) personnel from the Chemical Engineering and Statistics study programs focuses on implementing training on making organic fertilizers in order to maintain food availability, processing local soybeans and utilizing soybean dregs into products that have higher economic value in order to meet the aspects of food access and food utilization. The benchmark for the success of the activity can be seen from the number of participants who attended, the growth of several UMKM as applications of the training that had been obtained, as well as ongoing collaboration between Universities (in this case AKPRIND Indonesia University) with partners as one of the stakeholders.
