Abstract

This paper analyzes vslip in the Bunyu, Tarakan, East Kalimantan which is an area located in a hydrocarbon basin. The method used in this study is primary data collection, namely direct observation and taken at the time of drilling and listed in the log bore including the mud weight of the fluid. In this study, the well evaluated is the BSB well, Bunyu field using the Moore method. The dependent variable of this method is to calculate the slip velocity (Vs) with Moore's correlation, namely by looking at the results of the vslip calculation using the Reynolds number. The results of the analysis of this study are at a depth of 5864 ft to 8708 ft, the average value of vslip is smaller than va, vc and vcut, this indicates that the cutting is well lifted from the bottom of the well to the surface, thus avoiding unwanted things such as pipe sticking.
