IMPLEMENTASI METODE JARIMATIKA DALAM PERKALIAN: PELATIHAN PADA SISWA SEKOLAH DASAR

Abstract

Multiplication skills are one of the fundamental abilities essential for elementary school children to support their cognitive development. However, many elementary students still experience difficulties in performing multiplication operations. The aim of this community service activity is to enhance the multiplication skills of students at TPA Anwarussalam Nitikan, Yogyakarta, through the Jarimatika method. This activity was conducted using training and mentoring approaches, involving practice sessions, guidance, and evaluation. The results indicate an improvement in the children’s calculation abilities, with pre-test scores averaging 75 and post-test scores rising to 93 after the training. By using Jarimatika, students not only improved their calculation speed but also developed greater interest in learning mathematics.
