ABSTRACT
Currently, reconstruction of many buildings in Indonesia has been developed for last year that requires to Portland cement in usage need. The Portland cement in used derived from high quality cement. The high quality limestone in Ngluyu Area and its surrounding, Rejoso Sub district, Nganjuk Regency, East Java Province was studied by X-Ray Flourence (XRF) analysis. The aimof study is determinate the percentage of CaO and MgO also to identify the feasibility of limestone as main material for Portland cement. There were two samples of Klitik limestone Formation were analyzed. Based on result of analysis, the percentage of CaO and MgO on those sample such as 29,19% and 1,583%, where as on the other sample is about 42,91% dan 1,518%.
