Trafic Sign Socialization to Improve Road Users Safety at Level Crossing

Abstract

Trafic signs understanding at railway level crossing must be known and done by the road users to avoid traffic accidents at level crossing. From the accidents mentioned above, it can be seen that accidents at railway crossings are caused by human factors. One of the factors is poor public driving habits at level crossings.

Based on the causal factors above, it is necessary to conduct traffic sign socialization to improve safety at level crossings. The socialization was conducted at Muhammadiyah 5 Junior High School, Yogyakarta. The goal of this socialization is to increase public awareness of traffic signs, especially at level crossings, from an early age. The expected outcome of this community service is a better understanding and adherence to signs at level crossings, thus ensuring safety on the railways.
