PENILAIAN KUALITAS RUANG TERBUKA PUBLIK UNTUK LIVABILITAS MASYARAKAT DISEKITARNYA MELALUI PERSEPSI PENGGUNA : STUDI KASUS KOTA MAGELANG, INDONESIA

Abstract

Taman merupakan salah satu bentuk ruang terbuka publik yang memiliki peran penting di daerah perkotaan dalam rangka penyediaan layanan ekologis untuk penduduk. Taman adalah fasilitas penting yang mendorong kelayakan hidup perkotaan. Liveability berarti kualitas hidup yang dialami oleh penduduk suatu lingkungan melalui berbagai layanan / fasilitas yang ditawarkan oleh kota dan kondisi yang membuat mereka nyaman tinggal di sana. Masyarakat cenderung berkunjung ketaman private, taman berbayar, dan tempat hiburan komersil lainnya dan kurang memperhatikan taman publik yang ada disekitarnya untuk dapat dimanfaatkan secara optimal untuk kegiatan fisik dan sosial. Tujuan dari penelitian ini adalah untuk mengidentifikasi faktor utama yang mempengaruhi persepsi masyarakat tentang taman di Kota Magelang. Hal ini dimaksudkan untuk mengetahui kualitas taman dalam hal liveability. Untuk mendapatkan informasi yang berkaitan dengan persepsi penduduk ditaman, maka dilakukan observasi, wawancara dengan para pemangku kepentingan dan kuesioner dengan sampel 158 rumah tangga disekitar 3 taman sebagai studi kasus dengan radius 0 – 150 m dari taman. Berdasarkan bentuk / tipologi, 2 taman adalah taman berbentuk kantong, dan satu taman adalah taman memanjang. Berdasarkan lokasi 2 taman diletakkan di dekat jalan utama dan satu taman yang terletak di tengah kawasan pemukiman. Analisis deskriptive digunakan untuk menganalisis faktor – faktor yang mendukung dan menghambat masyarakat untuk berkunjung ketaman. Berdasarkan studi kasus ini, bentuk dan lokasi yang berbeda memiliki pengaruh terhadap minat responden sebagaimana Usia, Gender, Pendidikan, dan Pekerjaan Orang Dewasa yang berbeda juga mempengaruhi preferensi responden.
