Abstract

DS Field is an area with coal potential but has not yet been fully explored and optimally utilized. This study aims to identify coal layers based on 2D resistivity geoelectric data and to estimate the coal resources in the study area. The method used is 2D resistivity geoelectric with the Wenner-Schlumberger configuration, conducted on 9 survey lines with a length of 235 meters and electrode spacing of 5 meters, along with resource estimation using a geostatistical approach through the ordinary kriging method. The results indicate the presence of lignite coal with a resistivity range of 90–150 Ωm. The coal resource estimation yielded a total tonnage of 1,873,156.219 tons, consisting of 473,488.1230 tons in the measured category, 942,873.465 tons in the indicated category, and 45,794.625 tons in the inferred category. The geological losses value is 0.12% or 228,495.074 tons, resulting in a final tonnage of 1,644,661.146 tons.
